Welcome to the Center for European Integration Studies
The Center for European Integration Studies is a transdisciplinary research and post-graduate education institute of the Rheinischen-Friedrich-Wilhelms University Bonn. It provides future oriented research on unresolved questions of European integration and the global role of Europe with focus on "Governance and Regulation in the EU".
EU Progress 2014-2024
From 2014 to 2024, ZEI examined and commented on the EU legislation of the European institutions. With the help of the "ZEI Monitor traffic light", the implementation status of the respective work programs of EU Commission Presidents Ursula von der Leyen (2019-2024) and Jean-Claude Juncker (2014-2019) was visualized and documented.
Master of European Studies
From 1998 to 2023, ZEI offered postgraduate students the opportunity to study the one year “Master in European Studies – Governance and Regulation”. Lecturers from all over Europe presented students with diverse methods and perspectives on politics, law and economics of the European Union. The program ended in 2023.
